Osun state Commissioner for Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, Dr. Biyi Odunlade has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for his uncommon sense of accountability, responsive and responsible governnace as evident in the way the Governor handled the distribution of the first batch of the Federal Government rice palliatives in the state.
According to a news bulletin issued by the ministry on Tuesday, the Commissioner gave the commendation in an exclusive interview .
According to Dr. Odunlade, “the palliative was forwarded to all States in Nigeria including Osun State. However, the templates for the distribution and implementation differs from state to state”. Asserted Odunlade .
He further explained that the template for the distribution in Osun State was sufficiently transparent because the state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke demonstrated his commitment to the transformation of the lives of the people of the state saying that the Governor is always looking for succour for the less privileged.
On inter-ministerial collaboration, the Commissioner described the system of administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke as a network where all Ministries are working together to deliver good governnace to the people across the nooks and crannies of the state.
The Commissioner for Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations explained that the State Government under the leadership of Ede born Senator is not running a winner-takes-all-kind of government as the ministry holds meetings with the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) while all members of the council in other political parties are working hand in hand with the government through the ministry to ensure that all political interests are taken care of.
While highlighting some of his agenda for the Ministry, Dr. Odunlade said that as the political head of the Ministry, he is ready to ensure harmony and peaceful coexistence between other political parties and the PDP in the State while also ensuring that all political interest groups are taken care of and making sure that all segments of the government in the area of Intergovernmental Relations are carried along and supported by the government in order to achieve unity, harmony, understanding and prosperity for the people of the State.
