The Osun State Police Command has arrested a 40-year-old man, Oladipupo Moruf for stealing a black Lexus jeep during robbery in Anambra State.
The black Lexus jeep was said to have belong to one Igwe Odinaka in Obosi, who was shot in the stomach when his car was stolen at Idemili South local government area of Anambra State.
Osun State Commissioner of Police, Patrick Kehinde Longe confirmed Moruf’s arrest to journalists on Thursday in Osogbo.
Longe revealed that the suspect stole a black Lexus jeep belonging to one Igwe Odinaka in Obosi, Idemili South local government area of Anambra State.
“The owner of the vehicle was shot in the stomach when his car was stolen from him.
“The suspect was apprehended upon credible intelligence received that the vehicle was seen along Ijebu-Jesa road in Ilesa.
“The policemen attached to ‘A’ Division, Ilesa on patrol intercepted the vehicle driven by Oladipupo.
“The suspect was arrested and the vehicle taken to the station for further investigation,” he said.
Longe further disclosed that the suspect will be charged to court immediately investigations into the matter are concluded.
