Yeyeluwa Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni Installed as Yeye Atunluse of Igbajo-Iloro

…Donates N5 Million to Royal Palace Renovation, Assures Government’s Support for Igbajo Development

In a grand traditional ceremony filled with culture, grace and purpose, President of the Adeleke Women of Substance and the Yeyeluwa of Edeland, Chief (Dr) Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni, was today installed as the Yeye Atunluse of Igbajo-Iloro Kingdom by His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba Ademola Makinde (Onigeme I), Owa of Igbajo-Iloro.

The event, which held at the historic Owa’s Palace in Igbajo, Boluwaduro local government in Osun State, was nothing short of royal elegance, drawing dignitaries, traditional rulers, community leaders, government officials and well-wishers from far and wide.

In a moment of generosity and deep-rooted commitment to cultural heritage and the progress of igbajo-Iloro, Yeyeluwa Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni announced a whopping donation of N5 million towards the renovation of the Owa’s Palace – a gesture that drew thunderous applause and heartfelt appreciation from the Igbajo community.

“I want to sincerely thank His Royal Majesty, Oba Ademola Makinde, the Owa of Igbajo-Iloro, for this honour bestowed upon me. I do not take it lightly. I appreciate His Majesty for his wisdom, humility and love for his people,” Yeyeluwa Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni stated.

She went a step further by pledging that the State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, the Asiwaju of Edeland, Senator (Dr) Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, would look into all the pressing requests and developmental needs presented by the Owa of Igbajo on behalf of the community.

“The wheel of progress must not be allowed to rust. As a daughter of this land by honour and heritage, I assure you that the requests made by Kabiyesi on behalf of Igbajo-Iloro will be brought to the attention of the Governor, who remains committed to grassroots development. With his hand on the plough and his heart set on progress, Governor Adeleke has clearly signaled that he is here to not only restore but to rebuild and reposition Igbajo-Iloro for glory days ahead”, she affirmed.

The installation of Yeyeluwa as the Yeye Atunluse (Mother of Restoration) is seen by many as a perfect fit, given her tireless work in community upliftment, humanitarian service and her unflinching passion for empowering the underserved.

The event was attended by government appointees from Boluwaduro local government including the Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Hon Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, Special Adviser to the Governor on Technical Education, Hon. Dapo Adesina, Boluwaduro local government council Chairman, Hon. Abayomi Aina, Special Adviser to the governor on Boundary Matters, Hon. Taiwo Ayepola, State Director of Imole Youth Corps, Hon. Adedapo Ayodele, PDP leaders, Women and Youth groups, Team Yeyeluwa and other prominent personalities.
