“Well, as you can see, I’m not a governor who just sits at home or in the office. I’ve been monitoring things closely from the government house, and I believe in the policy of using local content—it’s working here.

“We have the best local engineers who are working tirelessly. You can see what they are doing here; it’s fantastic. I’m so impressed, and I believe they will continue with this momentum because I’m eager to commission the project.

“During my campaign, I mentioned that Osogbo does not look like a capital city. By the time I’m through with Osogbo, with all our road construction and other developments, Osogbo will look like a real capital—it will look like London.

“So far, so good. I’m very confident because of their past record, their CVs, and the work they have done so far. They have proven themselves, so I can rely on that. I introduced what they call fact-checking. This is why we have them here, doing what they are doing with the Engineer and our first female President, who has come to witness what we are doing in Osogbo, the state capital. I’m confident they will do a good job, and in a few months, everyone will be happy”, he said.

The state Governor continued by disclosing that other projects are on ongoing in different part of the state.

“We are using this site as a point of reference. I can assure you that similar projects are happening simultaneously across the state. The quality is excellent. I have a fantastic team that briefs me and schedules visits for me to assess the work myself. That’s what I’m doing today.” he added.

“I can assure you that we are delivering the best quality work here. We ensure that the contractor is doing the right thing, and all quality and control tests are being strictly monitored according to world standards.

“When working on a project like this, it’s not something you can rush. After completing the piling works, we need to conduct integrity tests on the piles to ensure the quality of the job. We won’t rush; we must do things right at the right time.

“We will surely meet the 12 month target of the Governor, thank you”, he stated.
