Rep Salam Commences Distribution of Easter Rice, Cash to Churches, Stakeholders in Ede

In celebration of the Easter season, Representative Bamidele Salam, the lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State at the National Assembly, has commenced the distribution of food items and financial support to Christian communities across the constituency.

According to a statement released by his media Assistant, Joshua Afolabi on Tuesday, the initiative kicked off today, 15th April and will continue through Friday, 18th April, 2025.

The programme includes the distribution of over 400 bags of 25kg rice and various forms of cash assistance targeted at several Christian groups and vulnerable individuals.

Beneficiaries include the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), selected churches, Christian organizations, and other stakeholders within the Christian community.

The initiative is part of Rep. Salam’s continued commitment to supporting his constituents and promoting religious harmony, particularly during significant festive periods.

“This gesture is aimed at spreading love and easing the economic burden on our Christian brothers and sisters during the Easter season,” the statement read.

The distribution effort underscores Rep. Salam’s ongoing engagement with diverse groups in his constituency, with a focus on inclusive representation and grassroots development.
