I have keenly watched the political incidents in Osun State since February , 2025. The flagrant disregards for the rule of law. Consistent attempt to instigate violence in the state so as to introduce STATE OF EMERGENCY.
These actions, propelled largely by the believe in the use of Federal might as displayed by the former failed governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and his lead counsel Barrister Lateef Fagbemi who unfortunately is the present AGF of the federation.
In simple terms,what they failed to achieve at the Supreme court, is what they are still fighting for. Over the months, we have witnessed all sincere efforts by the governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke to seek a political solution rather than allowing violence. At these juncture, we must be wary of the silence of the Federal powers on these issues, which is allowing the enemies of democracy to rejoice in Osun State.
My sincere appeal to our dear governor is that, he should continue to work for peace but must not be seen as a coward. He should go beyond PACIFICATION of these confused elements and embark on rigorous commitment to his social contract with the people.Its often said that: YOU CAN NOT CONTINUE TO DIALOGUE WITH THE DEAF.
He should give the people , who are his disciples the confidence that they will be free to cast their votes and the votes will be counted. 2026 ELECTION WILL DEFINITELY BE: THE PEOPLE OF OSUN STATE VS APC . B.T.S, OSOGBO
