Governor Adeleke Greets Ooni Of Ife At 50

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has rejoiced with the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Enitan, Ojaja II, on the auspicious occasion of his 50th birthday, celebrating him as a symbol of transformational leadership.

In a statement issued by the Spokesperson to the Governor, Olawale Rasheed ,notes the deliberate efforts of the Arole Oduduwa in fostering harmony in his domain and beyond by promoting understanding of differences, affirming the monarch’s sustained pursuit of enviable development of the ancient town of Ife and the progress of subjects.

The Governor extols Oba Ogunwusi’s courage and purposefulness in promoting the richness of culture, heritage and ideals, which has been the hallmark of Yoruba existence, commending the Chairman of the Council of Traditional Rulers in Osun state for building bridges that not only attracts physical developments to his domain but also strengthens bonds in the state’s traditional institution and beyond.

“It is with delight that I felicitate with Kabiyesi, the Arole of Oduduwa, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Enitan, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, on the joyous occasion of his 50th birthday. The golden jubilee age reflects Kabiyesi’s enduring life of service and the abundance of grace that he continues to serve for humanity,” the Governor was quoted as saying in a congratulatory message.

“Oba Ogunwusi’s role as a custodian of our heritage is one that is deeply respected and appreciated. In celebrating the milestone that comes with his new age, I commend his efforts in spotlighting Yorubas positively at home and abroad, which has ensured the continuous relevance of the race across the globe.”

Governor prays to Eledumare to continue to give Kabiyesi good health and wisdom to pilot the traditional affairs and offer valuable contributions to the development of our dear Osun state and Nigeria at large.
