The third flight from Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi has arrived in Madinah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Saturday morning.
The third plane which took-off from Birnin Kebbi conveyed 430 intending pilgrims from Gwandu, Aliero, Bunza and Kalgo Local Government Areas of Kebbi alongside Kebbi Government Officials (KGO).
The plane left Nigeria at about 4:00p.m. Nigerian time and arrived Medinah at about 12:30a.m. Saudi Arabian time.
Speaking to Malam Hussaini Abubakar-Giro, one of the board members of Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board said all necessary arrangements had been done to receive the intending pilgrims in Madinah and take them to their respective hotels.
“Immediately on arrival, buses are already parked waiting for the pilgrims. As you can see, each of these buses will carry 45 pilgrims and take them to their hotels.
“Already, the pilgrims were grouped into 45 people right from Nigeria using their passport. Therefore, immediately they arrive here, we identify each group member through his/her passport which makes the work very easy for us.
“This is a new innovation that we never see before, as such, we have to appreciate our Chairman, Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo for this gigantic efforts,” Abubakar-Giro said.
He observed that Aliyu-Enabo had brought many different innovations in steering the affairs of the board, adding those innovations had culminated into a huge success.
Each of the busses is assigned a specific number to convey specific pilgrims to their hotels.
