A socio-political group in Ifedayo Local Government, the OluJanet Political Movement, has publicly declared its support for the re-election of Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke ahead of the August 15, 2026 Osun State gubernatorial election.
The declaration was made during a well-attended gathering held at Iya Nio Ṣe Hall in Oke Ila, where hundreds of supporters of the movement converged to endorse the incumbent governor, SenatorAdemola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.
The movement, led by its convener, Comrade Olajide Samuel Abiodun (OluJanet) pledged unwavering commitment to mobilising support across the local government in favour of Governor Adeleke.
Addressing the crowd, Comrade Abiodun described the governor as a “performing leader whose impact is visible across communities in Osun State,” noting that the movement’s endorsement was driven by a collective desire to sustain ongoing development efforts.
He assured party leaders and stakeholders present that the OluJanet Political Movement would intensify grassroots mobilisation to secure victory for the governor at the polls.
Party leaders in Ifedayo Local Government commended the initiative and dedication of the movement. The Local Government Party Chairman, Hon. Oyinlola Adeyemi, alongside Hon. Omidun, praised Comrade Abiodun for his consistent efforts in youth development and party strengthening.
They also highlighted the various developmental strides recorded under Governor Adeleke’s administration within the local government, stressing that his re-election would ensure continuity and consolidation of progress.
Speaking on behalf of state appointees at the event, the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Tiamiyu Olamide described the significance of grassroots political engagement. He enumerated key projects executed by the current administration in Ifedayo and urged residents to participate actively in the ongoing Accord Party membership registration exercise.
In response, Comrade Abiodun assured stakeholders of his readiness to drive mass registration within the movement, promising that all members of the OluJanet Political Movement would be duly registered as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s structure ahead of the election.
The event attracted several notable figures, such as Hon. Clement Ademola Akanni (Olohunwa), who was represented by Hon. Debo Kolawole, Hon. Kasope Abolarin, represented by Hon. Abioye, Arákùnrin James Bámgbóṣé, Hon. Adekunle Akinrinade , as well as coordinators of the OluJanet Team in Osogbo and Ifedayo, Ajibola Noah, and Tajudeen Kazeem.
