The introduction of automation into the collection of IGR in Osun State will increase the IGR being generated in the State as this will enable the State Government to block the loopholes through which it is losing money.
The Commissioner for Innovation Science and Technology, Hon. Olatunji Maruf Ayofe gave this assertion while fielding questions afterfeaturing on a weekly programme.
This is as he describes the Osun as one big State with a lot of good people who will be ready to support the programmes of Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke with a view to easing the affairs of his people by making life better for them.
While re-affirming that the government of Ademola Adeleke is passionate about the development and welfare of the people, the Commissioner harped on the need for automation as the only way out through which the IGR being generated will not be lost through the various loopholes in the State.
Hon. Ayofe, who observed that the government is bringing governance to the people at the grassroots, said that once loopholes have been successfully blocked, the government will be able to use the generated funds to provide infrastructure for the betterment of the citizens of the State.
He also mentained that the automation will cut across all the sectors of the State to include agriculture, lands, commerce, Environment to mention but a few in contributing to the growth of the economy of Osun State.
