The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has advised the public to see education as a responsibility of all not government alone.
The governor gave the advice while receiving members of the House of Representatives Committee on Tetfund and other services on a courtesy call at Government House, Birnin Kebbi on Monday.
According to him, the present administration in the state has done a lot within one year in office in the areas of education, agriculture and rural development, roads construction and healthcare delivery services among others.
He assured the delegation of his readiness to support and cooperate with them for effective performance.
Earlier, the chairperson of the committee, Mariam Odinaka Onoha, told the governor that they were in the state as part of the committee’s oversight function to tertiary institutions across the state.
She said they were in Kebbi to assess projects executed by tedtund in various tertiary institutions.
While commending the governor for his efforts in developing the state within a short period of time, the chairperson solicited the support of the governor to the committee.
The visit was attended by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Secretary to the State Government and some members of the State Executive Council among others.
