The First lady of Osun State, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs Titilola Adeleke, has identified brotherly love as a missing factor needed to work upon by women to collectively succeed.
Mrs Adeleke gave this stance while addressing the women wing of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities in the State (JONAPWD), who were on courtesy visit to her office.
She lauded the women’s wing of JONAPWD intention to be self reliant, advised them to form groups with a view to benefiting from the State Government’s revolving loans to small business operators in the State. She encouraged them to embrace small scale farming to cushion the effect of hike in prices of food commodities.
Earlier, the State coordinator of JONAPWD, Women Wing, Mrs Shola Tola commended several of the First lady’s impactful interventions to people with special needs, however, she pleaded for more inclusion of their members in the scheme of things.
She explained the rationale behind their visit which includes; assistance for procurement of equipments for people with disabilities who have learnt different vocations, empowerment for their members, free medical outreach, and speedy approval of disability act law among others.
