The media office of the lawmaker representing Irepodun/Orolu/Olorunda/Osogbo Federal Constituency, Adewale Morufu Adebayo also known as Gangaria, has dismissed allegations of non-performance made by Raji Kehinde, popularly known as Aaraji, describing them as misleading and politically motivated.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the office said Kehinde’s social media claims failed to acknowledge that capital projects captured for the constituency in the 2025 federal budget have not received funding releases from the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to the statement, projects awaiting release include road construction, classroom blocks, a police post, solar streetlights, boreholes, a primary health centre, agricultural support and empowerment programmes.

It stressed that while lawmakers facilitate project inclusion in the budget and carry out oversight, treasury disbursement remains an executive responsibility.

The statement highlighted the lawmaker’s motions on flooding, communal clashes, investigation of abandoned federal industries, and review of the Conditional Cash Transfer framework, as well as bills seeking the establishment of a Federal Medical Centre and a Federal University of Technology in Osogbo.

It also listed constituency interventions such as job placements into federal agencies, youth and women empowerment trainings, fertilizer distribution, palliative support, scholarships, UTME and WAEC sponsorships, and installation of solar-powered streetlights across communities.

The media office maintained that while criticism is welcome in a democracy, public commentary should be based on verifiable facts, reaffirming the lawmaker’s commitment to effective representation.
