The Executive Governor of Osun state, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, has congratulated the Editor-In-Chief of Orientactualmags.com, an online news outlet, Mr Akinlolu Abayomi Lawal, on receiving Award of Honour (Hero and Icon ) category at the Kwara Tabloid Annual Public Lecture and Awards Ceremony in Ilorin , Kwara state capital.
The event was held at Fabbies Hall, Pipeline area, Ilorin, on Thursday.
Mr Akinlolu Abayomi , ex-Celebrity Magazine , ex-FAME Magazine and currently the Correspondent of Global Excellence Magazine in Kwara and Osun state, is the Editor-in-Chief of Orientactualmags.com.
The Governor in a statement issued in Osogbo by his Special Adviser/Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, noted that the organizers of the awards ceremony took a decision that was based on sound reasoning and judgment by honouring Akinlolu Abayomi with such an important award in recognition of his contribution to the growth of journalism especially the soft sell genre and online journalism.
The Governor specially commended the organizers of the awards ceremony for promoting unity and oneness by making it serve as a platform to recognize accomplishments of indigenes and residents of Kwara state rather than limiting it to the indigenes, noting that this will serve as catalyst for strengthening the unity and peace of the country for national development.
While urging others to emulate the organizers of the awards ceremony, Governor Adeleke added that since becoming the Chief Executive of Osun state, he has also promoted oneness and unity of the country and ensured that all residents of the state are given equal opportunity when it comes to personal pursuits while emphasizing common goals and values.
Commending Akinlolu for making the state proud, the Governor has also urged him to keep up the good work.
