The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has suspended Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, rector, Dr Tajudeen Odetayo from office with immediately effect.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr A.K Jimoh on Monday.
According to the statement, Dr. Odetayo was suspended following allegations of financial recklessness, corruption, misappropriation of funds and abuse of office.
However, Gov Adeleke has directed Mr. Alabi Kehinde Adeyemi to take over as acting rector of the institution pending the completion of investigation.
