In his efforts to ensure students get a better education and have access to necessary materials in order to enhance their education in the state. Hon. Folorunso Yemi Ogundare, who is a member of Osun state house of Assembly, representing Ayedaade state constituency and Osun West Senatorial Whip, flagged off distribution of educational materials in his constituency.
In fulfilling his campaign promises to assist students in getting necessary materials and also to encourage, formal education, coupled with studying among students ,Hon Folorunso distributed Educational materials today, Tuesday 26th, September, 2023.
Hon. Folorunso, during his address commended the coordinators, Ayedaade party chairman, principals and all the PDP leaders.
According to him, this program is part of his campaign promises and he has promised to put students first, in all his doings without being partial.
“I believe in everything we are doing, students comes first without involving political party. Not only students will benefit from us, we want each and every one in Ayedaade local Government to benefit.
“Subsidy has cost a lot of things, that some parents could not afford education materials, in my own wisdom and the executive governor of this state Governor Adeleke, we decide to do this for Ayedaade local government which comprises of Gbongan, Odeomu, and Orileowu.
In an interview with Sahel etv, Hon. Folorunso clarified that the Distribution Programme, will not be the last, as he has a lot in plate to deliver to the people of Ayedaade
“We’re just 3 month in government and we’ve just started, we promised to do more.
He, however, encouraged the students to make good use of the education materials.
“Anything we give you today, make good use of it, and ensure to tell your parents what PDP, Adeleke and Folorunso has done for you.
“During elections, convince your parents to support PDP.
The Principal of Gbongan/Odeomu Anglican Unity School, Mr. A.Y Adesanmi, reiterated that the initiative will go a long way in revamping education system in the state.
” On this note, I welcome you and appreciate you in giving our students these materials in assisting the teachers and parents.
” I want to promise our Hon. Folorunso that, these students will make use of these materials judiciously and we will not disappoint him.
He also used the medium to urged the state government to assist the school in providing school bus, more teachers and also to repair their spoilt bole hole.
One of the People’s Democracy Party leaders in Ayedaade, Hon Shina Alaran, praised Hon Folorunso for the initiative.
In his speech, he emphasized that Hon. Folorunso has always performed excellently,ever since he know him.
” You have always performed well. I pray that you end up well.
“I give the students the advise of using these materials in a good well, and also to emulate Hon. Folorunso in giving to others and the needy.
PDP party chairman in Ayedaade local government, Hon. Sanmi Adeyefa, while delivering his speech, noted that he’s grateful to be alive and to witness the initiative.
“Among you students those that will represent us far far better will emerge, face your studies well, may God spare your live.
After the flag off Programme, Hon. Folorunso Ogundare presented customized books and writing materials to each and every Students in Gbongan/ Odeomu Anglican Unity School, AUD primary school Gbayanrin, Baptist Day primary school Oke – elu Gbongan, DC primary school Owoope, Community High School, Ansarudeen Primary school Gbongan, CAC Primary School, Gbongan High School among others.
Hon. Folorunso media team, therefore assured that Odeomu and Orileowu Students will receive their Educational materials on Thursday and Friday.
