Osun State Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke has expressed gratitude to people of the state for their support during the presidential and National Assembly elections where the People’s Democratic Party PDP swept all elective positions.
A spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed stated this while featuring on an OSBC Television current affairs programme E GBEYEWO.
The Governor applauded people for their trust in his administration which reflected in the massive and total victory of all candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party in National Assembly election, adding that the outstanding win revalidated his victory during last year’s governorship election in the state.
“Our people have made us proud with the results we have got across the state during the Presidential and National Assembly polls. The turnout was massive and they further complemented it by voting for all candidates of our party. This is a proof of PDP’s popularity and wide acceptance by all citizens in the state.
“As you can see, PDP won all National Assembly elections with wide margin and the party also won the presidential election. This is the confirmation that the PDP and Governor Ademola Adeleke truly won the July 16 gubernatorial election in the state without any hiccup. As a party with good structure, we won’t be deterred in our people’s oriented policy which has been positively putting smiles on faces of our people
He appealed to the citizens of the state to replicate the gesture during the state house of Assembly election scheduled for March 11 .
