The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDPGF) has congratulated Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on the anniversary of his third year in office, describing him as “a leader of the people and a man of his words.”
In a statement issued on Thursday signed by the Forum’s Director General, Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, the PDP Governors, under the chairmanship of Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, commended Adeleke’s “sterling performances” which they said have transformed Osun State in the last three years.
The Forum extended warm felicitations to the people and residents of Osun State, applauding their unwavering support for Adeleke’s administration while also recalling the difficult situation the governor inherited upon assuming office in 2022, including unpaid pensions and gratuities, accumulated half salaries, infrastructure decay, and a weakened health system.
According to the statement, the Imole Scorecard has since reflected significant progress across several sectors of the economy, such as quality education, improved healthcare delivery, statewide water supply, expanded road infrastructure, rural development, agricultural initiatives, sports, and youth and women empowerment.
The Forum noted Adeleke’s prioritisation of civil service welfare, improved productivity within the public sector, enhanced security, and notable advancements in tourism, culture, and the creative industry, alongside a remarkable increase in the state’s internally generated revenue.
“Gov. Adeleke has prioritized the Civil Service welfare, boosted their productivity, enhanced Safety and Security, Tourism, Culture and the Creative Industry, and remarkably upped the states IGR, etc.
“The Forum is very proud of his contributions to the growth of the Party and applaud his steadfastness in reawakening the soul of the PDP as shown at the last National Convention in Ibadan”, the statement noted.
The PDP Governors also praised Adeleke for his steadfast contribution to the growth of the party, highlighting his role in “reawakening the soul of the PDP,” especially during the last national convention in Ibadan.
Reaffirming their continued loyalty and support, the Forum pledged to stand firmly with the Osun governor as he continues to deliver “selfless service” to the people of the state and Nigeria at large.
