No fewer than 2,417 Corps Members of the 2024 Batch A Stream 2 posted to Osun State for their National Youth Service Corps Scheme on Thursday passed out after completing their mandatory one-year national service while 44 others were given extension due to various infractions.

Speaking during the passing-out-parade ceremony, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Agbor Obim commended the outgoing Corps Members for their resilience, commitment, and contributions to their host communities.
He emphasised the NYSC’s vital role in fostering national unity and urged them to uphold the values of discipline, patriotism, and selflessness beyond their service year.
Addressing the common question, “After NYSC, what next?” he encouraged the Corps Members not to be discouraged but remain focused, hardworking, disciplined and honest, noting that these are key ingredients for success.
“Batch’s overall performance is commendable. 2,417 Corps Members completed their service successfully and 44 were given extensions due to various infractions as stipulated in the NYSC Bye-laws, and 54 were reported to have absconded.”
