The Senator representing Osun East in the National Assembly, Senator Adenigba Fadahunsi, has congratulated the new Owa Obokun Adimula, Loja Clement Adesuyi Haastrup on his emergence as the new Paramount ruler of Ijesaland.
Fadahunsi said Haastrup’s emergence could best be described as divine, noting that the ex-Osun Deputy Governor’s coming on the throne at this time in Ijesaland and Nigeria’s national life was timely and significant.
Fadahunsi disclosed this in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Sam Segun-Progress.
The lawmaker, who noted the peaceful selection and rancour-free process, that produced Haastrup as the new occupant of the throne, urged Ijesas home and abroad to support and cooperate with the new monarch for him to achieve success.
The statement partly read further, “As we are all aware that our Baba, the new Owa Obokun Adimula, Loja Clement Adesuyi Haastrup is a noble and accomplished Nigerian with honour at home and abroad.
“He is a successful person by every standard and I am sure he will further lift the revered throne of Owa Obokun.
“He will also add so much value to us as the people of the same stock and further expand our relevance as industrious and courageous people beyond Osun, bringing those rare attributes to the attention of the rest of the world through his actions as the paramount ruler of Ijesaland.
“We Ijesas are known for our dependence on God. We have prayed to God to choose for us and He, the Almighty God has blessed us with a great king. We cannot, but offer our sacrifices of praise to Him.”
The lawmaker then prayed for a long, peaceful reign for the new monarch, seeking for him wisdom, strength, and resources to manage the affairs of his people.
