In a continued effort to support educational development and youth empowerment, the Lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State at the National Assembly, Representative Bamidele Salam, has announced a free summer holiday programme for secondary school students across the four local government areas.
The initiative, known as the BS-E4 2025 Free Summer Class, is scheduled to run from Monday, August 4 to Saturday, September 6, 2025, and will provide students with intensive lessons in core subjects such as English Language and Mathematics, alongside computer training and other enriching academic activities.
The programme, fully sponsored by Rep. Salam, is designed to keep students engaged during the long vacation while reinforcing critical learning skills ahead of the new academic session.
Lesson Centres Across the Four LGAs
Classes will hold Mondays to Fridays at various centers strategically located within each local government area:
Ede North
- Timi Agbale High School, Ede
- Owode Adejuwon Grammar School, Owode-Ede
- Mapo Arogun Comprehensive High School, Ede
Ede South
- Baptist High School, Ede
- Sekona Grammar School, Owode-Ede
- Agbonran School of Science, Ede
Egbedore
- Baptist Grammar School, Ara
- Alawo Grammar School, Awo
- Ido-Osun High School
- YTD Primary School, Okinni
- Olofa Grammar School, Ofatedo
Ejigbo
- ADS High School, Ejigbo
- Ejigbo Baptist High School
- Muslim Commercial High School, Ola
- Isundunrin Community High School
- Ajoda Comprehensive High School, Inisa
In addition to regular lessons, specialised computer literacy training will be offered at the following centers:
- LA Primary School, Obada (Ede North)
- LA Primary School, Agbongbe (Ede South)
- Alawo Grammar School, Awo (Egbedore)
- Ejigbo Baptist High School (Ejigbo)
Rep. Salam emphasized the importance of giving students, especially those in underserved areas, access to quality learning opportunities.
“Education remains the strongest tool we can offer the next generation. Through this programme, we aim to reduce the learning gap and equip our students with the skills they need to thrive academically and digitally,” he stated.
Parents and guardians in the constituency are encouraged to take full advantage of the programme by enrolling their children early, as participation is completely free.
