The Osun State Government has pledged its full support to Consortium of Shanghai Creation Wish Group (TJWKS) and China Metallurgical Corporation Group (MCC), a top central government owned organization in China, exploring opportunities in the state’s mining and construction sectors.
During a meeting held on Wednesday at the Governor’s Office in Abeere, Osogbo, Governor Ademola Adeleke who was represented by his Deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi assured the delegation of a peaceful and business friendly environment.
He said, “The governor has directed me to assure you that you are in a safe state. There is no need to panic. We have many licensed sites with no issues.
“Your presence here today, all the way from China, shows your interest in Osun State, and I assure you that you will not have any regrets.”
He encouraged the delegation to explore available sites and finalize their investment decisions on time promising a solid support from the state government.
“We will provide every necessary support to ensure smooth operations. My advice is for you to make up your mind and execute your project without delay,” he added.
Earlier in his address, The President of MCC Shungai Creation Wish Group, Prof. Wei Zhang who led the Chinese team, said the purpose of the visit was to explore investment opportunities in Osun.
“I led my team from China to invest in mining and construction engineering. We are eager to contribute to the development of Osun State, and strengthen ties between China and Nigeria,” Zhang said.
