The Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has conveyed his heartfelt commiseration to the people of Apomu Land over the demise of the Chief Imam, Fhadilat Sheik Rasak Sanni Akinyele.
In a statement signed by Mallam Olawale Rasheed, his Spokesman, Senator Adeleke described the demise as “a painful exit not only to Apomu but to the Muslim community as a whole.” He noted that the late Chief Imam was a respected spiritual leader whose contributions to the development of Apomu and the Islamic faith would be greatly missed.
The Governor, who is deeply touched by the loss of the Chief Imam, expressed sympathy to Alapomu of Apomu Land, Oba Kayode Adenekan Afolabi, the Apomu Supreme Council, and the Muslim Society in the community.
“I condole with the Apomu Muslim Community, the Kabiesi, Alapomu of Apomu Land, and the good people of Apomu on this trying moment over the demise of the Chief Imam of Apomu, Fhadilat Sheik Rasak Sanni Akinyele. This is a great loss, and I want to convey my sympathy to everyone. May Almighty Allah grant the departed soul eternal rest and comfort his bereaved family.”
