The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has drummed support for the newly installed Owa Obokun of Ijeshaland, HIM Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup.
Oluwo described Oba Adesuyi as a golden fish and a monumental asset, not only to Ijeshaland but also to the entire Yoruba traditional institution.
He expressed optimism in the honour and glory Oba Adesuyi will facilitate to the land and called on the people of Ijeshaland to drum an unwavering support for the new king.
A statement released by Oluwo through his Press Secretary, Alli Ibraheem, further reads “I want to appeal to the good people of Ijeshaland to drum an unwavering support for the new Owa Obokun of Ijeshaland, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup. He is an accomplished entrepreneur, widely connected and experienced administrator. I have strong hopes for his ability to improve the tempo of traditional governance in Ijeshaland. Oba Adesuyi will take nothing from you. He only needs your support and encouragement”
