Afrobeats star, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has finally come through with ‘Timeless’, his much-awaited album.
The music star took to his social media page in the early hours of Friday to announce the release of the 17-track project to his numerous fans.
The ‘OBO’ crooner also shared a lengthy message wherein he talked about the tumultuous process he went through from his previous album to the latest.
Davido also gave Chioma Rowland, his wife, a shout-out while appreciating his fans and the people who ensured the completion of the project.
‘At long last – WE are back. The journey from my last album to this album has been a whirlwind to say the least,” he wrote.
“I recall sitting & staring over the ocean not too long ago, wondering if I could get here again, after all I’ve been through… but with your love & support, we made it.
“I’m not sure what comes after this but I wanted to give you my heart, soul and energy. Today I present you “TIMELESS”.
“So many people to thank who helped make this happen but first, I must send a special thank you to the strongest woman I know, @thechefchi!
“Thank you, thank you, thank you. And to all my supporters – I love you. Now, enjoy! I’ll see you all on road soon!’
Last month, the singer ended his months-long absence from social media and announced the release date of the new body of work.
The announcement stirred excitement among his fans as they count down the days in anticipation of new sounds from the ‘Fem’ crooner.
‘Timeless’ is built on diverse tunes and collaborators which include Asake, Fave, Focalistic, Angelique Kidjo, and Skepta among others.
Tracks in the project include ‘Over Dem’, ‘In the Garden, ‘Godfather,’ ‘Feel,’ ‘Unavailable’, ‘Kante’, ‘Bop’, ‘E Pain Me’, ‘Away,’ ‘Precision’, and ‘Na Money.’

Others include ‘U (Juju)’, ‘No Competition’, ‘Picasso’, ‘For the Road’, ‘LCND’, and ‘Champion Sound’.
The album is Davido’s fourth project. His three other bodies of works are ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ (2012), ‘A Good Time’ (2019), and ‘A Better Time‘ (2020).
Davido had disclosed that the concerts for the new album will be held in London, New York, and Lagos.
The Afrobeats star also recently confirmed he and Chioma are married.
The 30-year-old music star described ‘Timeless’ as an amazing project.
“My fans grew up with me since I dropped my first song at 16 or 17 years old. My whole 20s, Nigeria grew up with me,” he said.
“I’ve never taken this kind of break, just being away I’ve had a lot to think about. I’ve had time to rest, reflect, enjoy a lot of family time, and definitely time to make music again.
“Before I went on the break, I actually had an album ready, I had a tour ready but we redid the album.
“I traveled, I’m married. A lot of different things but we’re ready now to get back on the road. The album will soon be out, it’s amazing and we’re back on the road.”
With strings of awards and honourary mentions, the singer has established himself as one of the leading names in the Nigerian music industry.
