The Akesin of Ora-Igbomina, Oba Samuel Oladoye Idowu, has expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, for his commitment to the development of Ora and for recognizing the community in the affairs of his administration.
Speaking during the 10th edition of Ora-Igbomina Day, held over the weekend, the monarch commended Governor Adeleke for extending infrastructural projects to the town and for ensuring that Ora remains part of the government’s developmental agenda.
Oba Oladoye noted that the governor’s gesture is a clear demonstration of inclusive governance, adding that the people of Ora would continue to support his administration. He particularly lauded the ongoing road rehabilitation from Ila-Orangun to the Kwara boundary, describing it as a project that will boost commerce, ease transportation, and further strengthen social and economic ties with neighbouring communities.
The monarch equally appreciated sons and daughters of Ora, both at home and in the diaspora, for their contributions to the success of the celebration, urging them to sustain the spirit of unity and collective progress.
The event, which attracted dignitaries from within and outside Osun State, witnessed the presence of no fewer than 18 traditional rulers, political leaders, community associations, and well-wishers who turned out to celebrate the historic day.
Oba Oladoye prayed for continued peace and progress in Ora-Igbomina, assuring that the community would not relent in supporting government’s developmental programmes.
