The Youths Stakeholders’ Forum (YOSF) has drummed support for Governor Mai Mala Buni to re-contest the 2023 governorship elections in Yobe State.
According to the Forum, youths are to be included in the State’s governance by empowering them restore their livelihoods.
Declaring Buni’s endorsement, yesterday (Friday) in Potiskum, YOSF’s Chairman, Abubakar Sabo disclosed that the youths are drawn from Yobe south senatorial district comprising Fune, Fika, Potiskum and Nangere Councils.
Besides, he added: “As the 2023 polls draw nearer, it is inevitable to identify the APC critical youth stakeholders in the senatorial district.
“We’re to collectively brainstorm and look inwards politically, before highlighting our challenges to proffer solutions in the various sectors of the economy.”
He noted that the forum is satisfied with the leadership style of Governor Buni, stating that they resolved to unanimously endorse him to re-contest in 2023.
Members of the forum also appreciated the APC administration in the state for the execution of various projects in the health, education, housing, agricultural and transport sectors.
He said that the inclusion of youths in governance and empowerment was to enable them pull out more votes for the party at 2023 polls.
The youths were urged to unite and avoid thuggery and campaigns of calumny; while voting during the 2023 general elections.
“Some people from Yobe east and north senatorial districts; are sabotaging the efforts of Buni through marginalizing our members from the district,” he alleged.
Sabo lamented that the people in the four councils; are helpless for more inclusions and empowerment.
