The Atiku Business Support Group(ABSG) has assured the citizens of Nigeria and the business community that the PDP Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has the best plans for the private sector and the Nigerian economy following his presentation at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The group said the PDP candidate has workable solutions in revamping the grumpling nation’s economy focussing on deliberate action to strengthen the MSMEs and other small medium scale businesses while addressing key national economic issues.
The group in a statement by its interim Publicity Secretary, Oluniyi Isamotu re-echoed the PDP Presidential candidate statement while meeting with the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) in a strategic open business meeting recently where he presented his economic blueprint for the country.
The group noted that Abubakar’s promise to create an Economic Stimulus Fund with an initial investment capacity of approximately US$10 billion to support MSMEs across all the economic sectors is a game changer as MSMEs offer the greatest opportunities for achieving inclusive growth.
While commending the candidate’s plegde to undertake far-reaching fiscal restructuring to improve liquidity as well as manage the nation’s fiscal resources, the group thumbed up Abubakar for his agenda to take five bold steps which includes undertaking an immediate review of government spending with a view to eliminating all leakages arising from subsidy payments; stop all fiscal support to ailing State-Owned enterprises; improve spending efficiency by gradual reduction of government recurrent expenditures.
Others according to the group include undertaking a review of government procurement processes to ensure value-for-money as well as eliminate all leakages and focus on non-debt financing by promoting a private sector led infrastructure development fund for the financing and delivery of key infrastructure projects, adding that “the PDP candidate has the most progressivw econonic agenda for the country.
With all these being said, it is evidently clear that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has the best workable plans for the private sector in the country. And this is a clarion call to all business owners in the country, entrepreneurs and investors to be part of this project and the candidature of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for the benefit of their businesses and investments at the long run.
While commending the effort of Dr Adamu Bappayo, the Special Assistant, Business Sector’ to Alhaji Abubakar, the group called on business associations in Nigeria to rally round the PDP candidate as the man with workable plan for the business sector.
” We call on business leaders in Nigeria , we call on leaders of Chambers of Commerce to rise up and embrace Atiku Abubakar as the next president of Nigeria”, the group noted.
