The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) took part in the public hearing organized by the House of Representatives Committee on Commerce at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.
NACCIMA spoke on the hearing focused on three important bills aimed at improving Nigeria’s business and professional environment:
- A Bill to Establish Climate Resilient Commerce in Nigeria (HB. 2206)
- A Bill to Amend the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria Act, 2003, to Expand Membership Eligibility and Define the Powers of the Council (HB. 1547)
- The Chartered Institute of Entrepreneurship Consultants Bill (HB. 1626)
NACCIMA was represented by Dr. Percy Chukwuka-David, Barr. Chukwuemeka Eze, Dr. Emmanuel Akeh, and Ms. Ifeoma Ozue.
At the hearing, the NACCIMA team highlighted the need for policies that support sustainable trade, promote professionalism in marketing and entrepreneurship, and create a business environment that encourages innovation and growth. The Association also commended the Committee for involving key stakeholders in the legislative process and expressed its commitment to working with the National Assembly to strengthen Nigeria’s commerce sector.

NACCIMA will continue to follow up on the progress of these bills and work with relevant partners to ensure the final outcomes reflect the interests of the private sector and contribute to building a stronger, more resilient economy.
