ECOWAS Hosts 2025 Trade and Investment Forum to Boost Regional Integration

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission on Saturday, hosted the 2025 ECOWAS Trade and Investment Forum Exhibition (ECOTIFE 2025) in collaboration with the Lagos International Trade Fair.

The flagship event, organized as part of the ECOWAS Golden Jubilee celebrations, focused on promoting trade, attracting investment, and deepening economic integration across the West African region.

The forum brought together key stakeholders, including policymakers, private sector leaders, development partners, and regional institutions, to deliberate on innovative approaches to enhance intra-regional trade and investment.

Featuring plenary sessions, thematic panels, and exhibitions, ECOTIFE 2025 served as a platform for meaningful discussions, partnership building, and business networking aimed at unlocking new economic opportunities in the region.

Speaking on behalf of the National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Asiwaju (Dr.) Michael Olawale-Cole, CON, the 2nd Deputy President of NACCIMA, delivered an address on the theme: “Public-Private Partnership: Strategies for Strengthening Collaboration between Public and Private Sectors.

He underscored the need for stronger synergy between government and the private sector, noting that effective collaboration remains crucial for sustainable economic growth and development across Nigeria and the wider West African subregion.
