What we are not told about War

One of the saddest things about our history is that the people who survived the Biafran war didn’t really tell their children what happened.

They kept quiet. They swallowed the trauma. They tried to protect the next generation by pretending everything was fine.

But that silence is exactly why we now have umu mbanshi on this app talking tough, acting like they can fight a war and win.

Children of anger, children who have never seen real hardship, talking about war like it’s a social media challenge. They genuinely have no idea what they are talking about.

Their parents didn’t tell them about mass starvati0n.
They didn’t tell them about running from b0mbs.
They didn’t tell them about people dropping de*ad on the roadside.
They didn’t tell them how quickly the excitement of “we are fighting!” collapsed into panic and despair.

Nobody told them about kwashiorkor babies.
Nobody told them about eating lizards to survive.
Nobody told them about villages wiped out in a day.
Nobody told them about mothers burying their children with their bare hands.
Nobody told them that bravado evaporates when hunger becomes your shadow.

If they had heard those stories, they wouldn’t be online chest-beating about secessi0n.

Because here is the truth many people don’t want to say out loud:

The only realistic secessi0n plan is through war.
And that war, you will not win.

There is no referendum coming.
No UN cavalry.
No diplomatic escape route magically waiting.
In the real world, secessi0n is war. Full stop. Period.

And the same people shouting “we are ready!” are the same people who cannot the truth about what IPOB/ESN did in our land, who panic due to homegrown insecurity. People who couldn’t visit their village because who sounded like them held their communities hostage. These are the ones who think they can survive a full-bl0wn war?

Do they know what war is?
Do they know what it means to lose everything in one afternoon?
Do they know what it means to starve until your body starts shutting down?
Do they know what it means to run, hide, bury, and keep moving?

No, they don’t. Because nobody told them. Their parents wrapped the story in silence, and now they think war is something you declare online. They think calling for balkanizing of your region is self determination!

Many of you are so ill informed, misinformed and disinformed. It is sadder because you are too educated to be this dumb.

The last war didn’t end because people “gave up.”
It ended because people were dying so fast that survival became the only goal.

So when I see these silly people shouting and forming revolution online, it’s painful. They don’t understand what they’re calling for. They don’t understand that war is not theory, not energy, not “we move.”

War is blo0d.
War is hunger.
War is destruction.
War is trauma that never leaves.
War is losing things you can never rebuild.

And the only people who bare the brunt of wars are those who do not win! The region who had to pick up the pieces, start over and play catch up, is the side who lost. There is no second place in a war. Only bodies, bodies, bodies, death, trauma!

War is an evil wind that blows nobody good. The stench lingers. The spirits roam.

If the survivors had spoken, really spoken, we wouldn’t have this delusion everywhere today. We wouldn’t have a generation fantasizing about battles they cannot fight.

Because If war starts, the loudest ones will vanish first.

And the rest won’t survive long enough to type about it.
