Expressing his personal admiration, Rep. Salam said: “On this date 3 years ago, you stood before God and man to take an oath of office as Governor of Osun State. The atmosphere was electric, the mood was joyous, the expectations were high.

I must confess that even those of us your admirers and team members had some trepidation about the journey in view of the then parlous state of things in the state you were inheriting. We worked several nights drafting speeches, memos and policy documents with some measure of uncertainty especially as to where the monies would come from to implement our grand desires for the great people of Osun State. In all of these however, you appeared relaxed, unperturbed and assured in the ability of the Almighty God to turn desert into waters according to His good words.

3 years down the line, we look back today and join you to sing praises to God for honouring your faith and rewarding your hardwork, your sacrifice, your resilience and very gentle spirit to all men.

Today, the people of Osun State rejoice that you have indeed being a harbinger of peace, development, fulfilment and growth in virtually all sectors.”

He continued, “Even your critics, in the inner recesses of their thoughts, will attest to your outstanding performances in all critical areas of governance in the last years.

“While they may make Public pronouncements playing down the appreciable progress made in roads infrastructure, people’s welfare, health, and education, the opposition is daily faced with a herculean task of convincing the electorate on why they did not do even half of what Governor Adeleke has done in three years when they had the privilege of governance.

“Your bold imprint is visibly seen in education through massive schools rehabilitation, improved teachers welfare, supply of instructional materials which all contributed to moving our state from a 33rd to 7th position ranking in NECO examinations within 3 years.

“65% of our Primary Health Centres have been upgraded with water supply, solar power, new bedding and other facilities.

“In spite of the political hostilities engineered against you by the owners of ‘ Federal might’ leading to a continuous seizure of funds meant for development at the Grassroots for so many months, your strides in roads construction and other projects in the nooks and crannies of Osun State continue to confound your adversaries.

“Yes, you are not perfect because no human truly is, but you tower far far ahead of many others in the leadership landscape because of your obvious understanding that the purpose of leadership is to take society from one level of development to a higher level without taking away the liberty and happiness of the people.

“As a Federal lawmaker representing the Governors constituency in the National Assembly, I am proud of the excellent ambassador which Senator Adeleke has been and assure him of the continuous prayers and support of the fantastic people of Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Local Governments of Osun State.

“Today as you mark 3 years in office, I join millions of others to pray that the Almighty God in whom you put your trust will justify you. He will continually help you with His supply of wisdom, strength, favour and great grace. Your dreams will manifest and your joy will not diminish.

Congratulations our dancing and working Governor.”

Rep. Salam concluded by expressing firm confidence in the future of Osun State, reaffirming his support for the vision of “Imole Osun Till 2030.”
