Adeleke celebrates Omisore at 69, describes him as great Osun icon

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has described former Deputy Governor and former Senator, Otunba Christopher Iyiola Ajani Omisore, as a great icon of the state as he marks his 69th birthday.
Adeleke, in a congratulatory message issued on Monday, said Omisore had contributed significantly to the development of Osun State through his professional career, public service and political activities.
The governor also commended Omisore for his roles in traditional and community affairs, noting that the Ile-Ife-born elder holds several traditional titles, including Apesin Oodua of the Source, High Chief Lisa of Osogbo, Basorun of Ijesa Land and Otunba of Ipetumodu.
“Today, I celebrate Otunba Omisore as a brother and a distinguished son of Osun. I wish him many more years of meaningful impact,” Adeleke said.
He said Omisore had demonstrated courage, wisdom and commitment to the progress of the people at various stages of his career.
“Through every stage of his remarkable journey, whether as an Engineer, Deputy Governor, Senator, traditional leader, or community builder, he has consistently demonstrated uncommon courage, wisdom, and an enduring commitment to the progress of our people,” the governor said.
Adeleke, on behalf of the Osun State Government and the people of the state, congratulated Omisore on his birthday and prayed for continued fulfilment in his service to humanity.
“On behalf of the Government and the good people of Osun State, I congratulate Otunba Omisore on this joyous occasion and pray that Almighty God grants him fulfillment as he continues to inspire and serve humanity,” he said.
The governor also prayed for God’s continued protection and blessings upon the celebrant and his family.
