Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has felicitated with the Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, His Imperial Majesty, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, on his birthday.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke described the monarch’s journey to the throne as one marked by years of leadership and service to Osun State and its people.
The governor noted that Owa Obokun had previously served as Deputy Governor to his elder brother, the late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, saying the experience had helped shape the monarch’s understanding of leadership and the aspirations of the people.
“Long before he became Owa Obokun Adimula, His Imperial Majesty had established a record of service to Osun and its people. His years in government, enterprise and philanthropy speak to a life committed to building people and institutions,” Adeleke said.
He said the monarch’s experience remained valuable in his present role as the traditional ruler of Ijesaland, while appreciating his continued support for the state government.
“That experience remains valuable today as he leads Ijesaland, and we are grateful for his continued support for my administration’s development of our state,” the governor said.
Adeleke prayed for the continued good health of the monarch and many more years of wisdom.
“On this occasion, I pray that Almighty God will preserve His Imperial Majesty in good health and grant him many more years of wisdom,” he said.
