The President’s men are frantically searcing for a presidential candidate as the national convention of the All Progressive Congress (APC) draws closer.
A shorlist is already done according to reports. This however ommitted the two prominent aspirants in the party namely Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Senator Bola Tinubu.
The list according to inside sources includes Ekiti state Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, Dr Akinwumi Adesina and Mr Gbenga Olawepo.
The President’s men are reported to have concluded on supporting a South Westernner who is a Christian. The finalisation of the list will take place after the party convention.
” By then , the Buhari caucus would have taken over party apparatus completely. They can then proceed to annoint a candidate”, the source said.
