The President of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Dr Al-Mujtaba Abubakar has joined other leaders across the world to felicitate with all Muslim faithfuls for the celebration of the 2023 Eid-el-Fitri.
Dr Abubakar who stated that the celebration is significant to Muslims added that Ramadan season was a period to pray to God for personal and family needs and the development of the country.
He called on every Nigerian to continue to pray for the peace and unity of the country while stating that Islam, is a religion of peace and where there is peace everything will work well.
“Eid is a chance to multiply good deeds by bringing happiness and pleasure to the hearts of other Muslims, by helping and supporting the poor and needy, and by getting involved in pastimes that emphasise the strong and serious Islamic character.
Dr Abubakar stated that as the new administration takes over in May 2023, they should prioritise business-friendly policy and harmonising taxes for the Business Community.
“The business community is the engine of any society. With good policies in place, it will give the entrepreneurs opportunities to succeed hence, contributing to the country’s economic growth. As a Chamber of commerce, our interest is for the business community to succeed in their ventures and this will be a plus to the country.”
The ACCI President also called on every Nigerian to use the time of celebration to pray for peace to be restored to Nigeria adding that when there is peace there will be business growth that will lead to economic development.
