The Senator-Elect, Osun West Senatorial District, Akogun Lere Oyewumi described Late Sen. Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke as a quintessential leader and a philanthropist who will be remembered for his sterling qualities of uprightness, integrity, and selflessness.
“He was a visionary and patriotic leader, who lived his life for the people’s welfarism and community development. Akogun Lere Oyewumi stressed that the country lost a rare gem, a man of peace, a true democrat, a patriot, and a nationalist, who led an exemplary life of service to God and country, worthy of emulation.
“Late Sen. Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke was a unifying force for Osun state and his contribution to the growth and development of democracy in Nigeria cannot be easily forgotten. In all situations, he lived nobly and he died in nobility. Let us bear in mind that we all have the opportunity to act nobly in whatever position we find ourselves in. Sen. Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke died at a time in Osun state and the country is in dire need of such leadership, experience, and wisdom to tackle the multifaceted challenges facing the nation. His death was extremely painful but we cannot question the will of the Almighty Allah”.
