As part of fulfilling his administration’s campaign promises of committing to provision of sustainable water supply in rural communities across Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has rehabilitated the Esa-oke water scheme.
The Esa Oke water scheme has been rehabilitated, as residents of the ancient town are now enjoying potable water supply provided by the senator Ademola Adeleke’s administration.
The general manager for small towns water supply and sanitation agency, Mrs Toyin Asaolu stated this on IMOLE AYO, a sensitization programme on OSBC Radio and Television.
The programme is put together by the office of the spokesperson to the governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed to promote the activities of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration on the development of Osun State.
Mrs Asaolu pointed out that the present administration is currently addressing the challenges facing the water sector in the state.
According to her, “the challenges facing water supply system in rural areas over the years has increased the dependency of rural dwellers on polluted surface water sources.
“The water scheme in Esa Oke is being rehabilitated in phases as residents of the ancient town are now enjoying potable water supply, provided by the senator Ademola Adeleke’s administration.”
She assured the residents of Okuku, Igbaye, Inisa, Toto, Igege, Oluponna among others that, water schemes in their areas will be rehabilitated as soon as the ongoing rehabilitation work in Esa Oke is completed.
