The Osun State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Mr. Agbor Ndoma Obim, has advised the outgoing 2022 Batch B Stream 1 Corps members to be good Ambassadors of the Scheme as they disengaged from their mandatory one – year national service.
Agbor gave this counsel on Thursday during the passing out exercise which was held on a low key across the local government areas in the State.
Commemorating the Corps Members, he commended them for a successful service year and also appreciated them for leaving worthy legacies through the various Community Development Service (CDS).
In furtherance on the essence of the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme, he urged the Corps members to utilize the skills they acquired through the Scheme effectively stressing that the Scheme serves as a platform to empower Corps members toward self reliance and employment generation.
According to Agbor, “the total number of Batch B Stream 1 Corps Members in Osun State was 2527 out of which 22 Corps members absconded while 9 Corps members were given an extension of service. The number of the qualified Corps members who passed out was 2496.
“I will like to show my gratitude to the management and staff in the State, Corps employers and those who immensely contributed to the successful service year of the 2022 Batch B Stream 1 Corps Member.”
