Nigerian Afrobeat musician Asake has set a new record with his “Work of Art” album, surpassing the previous record by Davido’s “Timeless”.
The album is now the most streamed in the second phase of the year 2023, with over 24.4 million on-demand streams and still counting.
The musician had an image to accompany the caption which read, “Work Of Art sets a new record for the biggest total streams by an album in the second week of 2023″.
This was further accompanied by the total streaming times it was aired on major streaming platforms. ” It tallied 24.4 million on demand during the week of June 23-29; passing the 23.8 million streams of timeless”
