…emphasize outstanding performance of Governor Ademola Adeleke as key reason for pitching tent with PDP
No fewer than 1000 members of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) across the fifteen wards in Osogbo Local Government has officially decamped to the ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
In a significant political shift in Osogbo, the state capital, the opposition party APC suffered another huge setback as their former members have left the party, stating that the current administration of His Excellency, Sen Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke is people-oriented, democratic and transparent.
Some of the leaders of the newly decamped members expressed their delight in joining the PDP, stating the exceptional performance of Sen Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke as “visible to the blind and audible to the deaf”.
While receiving the new party members at the official declaration of Hon Taye Alese/Aderemi Musiliu as Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates and all Councillorship candidates of the PDP in the forthcoming February 22nd, 2025 Local Government Election, The State Chairman of PDP, Hon Sunday Bisi welcomed all decampees.
He however, stated very clearly that ‘PDP is a party that rewards loyalty, commitment and hardwork’, hence there is a level playground for all members without any form of segregation or partiality.
Prominent party leaders within and Outside Osogbo Local Government were fully on ground to warmly receive the new party members.
In his remarks, Secretary to the State Government, Alh Teslim Adekunle Igbalaye Bibiire, warmly welcomed the new members and assured them of equity, fairness, transparency and sense of belonging.
Chief Mrs Yeyeluwa Modupeola Sanni-Adeleke, other Party stalwarts from the state and other top government functionaries came in their numbers to receive the new members to the PDP family.
It is gratifying to note that the ongoing defection of APC members to the camp of the ruling PDP in the state is an indication of the democratic tendency of Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke and his trail blazing performance in infrastructure transformation across the nooks and crannies of Osun State.
