The management of Mikano International Limited, promoters of Mikano Generators has denied any link whatsoever with the presidential flagbearer for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
Firas Mam Nuk, the Managing Director, in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja, said the public statement became necessary following numerous articles and press statements stating that the company is owned by or affiliated with Atiku Abubakar.
Mam Nuk said the statement is specifically to warn the unsuspecting members of the public that the news does not represent the facts as it concerns Mikano International Limited.
The Mikano International boss, therefore, urged the general public to disregard the news, insisting that the former Vice president, has no affiliation with the company.
“The attention of the Management of Mikano International Limited, promoters of MIKMILANONERATORS (amongst other products), has been drawn to numerous articles and press statements stating that the Company is owned by/affiliated with HE Atiku Abubakar GCON.
“This disclaimer is a notice to the general public that the news does not represent the truth as it concerns Mikano International Limited.
“Please be informed that Mikano International Limited is not owned, affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with HE Atiku Abubakar GCON.
“Members of the public are therefore advised to disregard the news” reads the statement in parts . It was gathered that Mikano International Limited is a Nigerian company with intan interest in power generation, real estate and construction.
The company offers sales, maintenance, assembling and distribution of power generation products, real estate development, and sales of construction equipment.
Mikano has implemented various social responsibility initiatives focusing on STEM Projects and retraining Nigerian students, the Nigerian Police force through the donation of Police traffic stands across the country, and support for less-privileged and disadvantaged members of the society.
