Says the 27-chapter piece is an insight into known, unknown political life of Amaechi.
Erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP) and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, in demonstration of the seriousness he attaches to the new book on Amaechi, a project which took him over three years to put together, has engaged the service of Mr. Bekee Anyalewechi, a United Kingdom trained Journalist, Publisher of the great Neighborhood Newspaper and CEO of Nativity Conglomerate, based in Port Harcourt, to market the book.
Titled ‘AMAECHI: HIS FEATS, INSPIRATIONAL, REVOLUTIONARY LEADERSHIP STYLE’ the book is termed to be a thriller and one in a million. In a moving story told in a style peculiar only to Chief Eze, the book wraps Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi in a volume succinct yet voluminous.
In a statement made available to media houses, Eze said the 27 chapter book dealt with all known and unknown political life of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the erstwhile Governor of Rivers State and incumbent Minister of Transportation, covering his feats while as Rivers State Governor and as the Minister of Transportation. Crucial issues treated in the book which spans over 400 pages with relevant pictures are his feats in the Agricultural, Educational, Heath, Transportation, Financial Sectors. The strategy he adopted to curb the menace of insecurity that was very prevalent before he assumed office. His contributions to the Nigerian Jurisprudence in and how he made Port Harcourt the World book Capital.
The book also covered his efforts to connect all parts of Nigeria through the rail system.
The concluding chapters dealt with the life and inputs of Dame Judith Amaechi, his amiable, industrious and great wife towards what is today known as the Amaechi Legacy. His installation as the Trusted Son of DAURA, the Legacy Plane imbroglio and the frustrations he suffered before he was confirmed Minister of Transportation by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Also captured is the record of how Amaechi midwifed the first and major success in forming a Unity Government in Nigeria and finally those who have stood by him since the fight for the soul of Rivers APC and those who prefer him dead politically.
According to Mr. Bekee Anyalewechi, “never before has the Chibuike Amaechi story been told in such a manner adopted in the book. It’s a book for Nigeria”.
The book is a must-read that will take readers through the history of Amaechi and how he created the modern Rivers State. “A book that took me almost three years – working on daily basis to assemble materials and documents, writing and making amendments before building it to this epochal level, must be a thriller”.
The APC chieftain said huge sums were been expended to engage two Professors, a Lawyer and a seasoned Journalist to give the book its present classical touch that caused Dr. Dakuku Peterside to exclaim, “Vintage Eze, through this book, provides a wealth of knowledge and insights about how the master political leader in CR Amaechi was able to navigate political landmines and rose to the pinnacle of leadership. Chief Eze’s account provides stories that have not been told before in this way and at the same time brings clues that make the total picture clear.
This book is essentially a new perspective and a compelling first-hand authentic story that only a master storyteller can share..”
This is how the Editors of the book explained the book:
1. Chief Chukwuemeka Eze has demonstrated through this book that he is a human encyclopedia. Reading through the pages, one will certainly agree that Eze is qualified to be addressed as a Senior Research Fellow. This particular book is an eye opener. He is an investigative journalist of the highest order. His presentation of The Honourable Minister of Transportation and former Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi in this book leaves no one in doubt whatsoever that Chief Eze is open-minded. The book is a balanced presentation of facts in a very simple language and narrative style.

2. The pivot of this refreshing masterpiece is a man whose sapient conception of leadership from the standpoint of public service sharpened the business of lawmaking in the Rivers State House of Assembly where he served as Speaker and ignited a new order in the socio-economic and political space of Rivers State when he held sway as Governor.
The expository piece also captures his works and engagements as Minister of the decade and much more.
It is specifically inspiring and refreshing and tasks us to reflect on what we owe to society each time we are called to public service.

3. Some would think they knew Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, and I supposed that those who birthed that “The Amaechi I know” belonged to that tribe. But this book by Eze Chukwuemeka Eze deposes all of that pantheon.
Eze tells the story of Amaechi as never told before, and I should safely think, as might never be told again. His account comes from the first person narrative, a genre rare but critical if an account must come alive; a story not told by a stranger. Not like the African Story told by the marauding, colonising European. Not the story of the hunter that glorifies himself over the lion. But it is like the Story of the African told by the African; the lion telling her own story of a game.
In this book, Eze, like a master craftsman, carves another Amaechi, shows him as the nationalist he would want Nigerians see in him. If you fail to read this book, you’d be living in another Nigeria. Not in the one Amaechi live in and serve.
I have no afterthought in recommending this masterpiece of a moving, human story told by a narrator who played – who in fact engineered key events — in this Amaechi story.
Nigeria, this is the story of your son as never told! The Amaechi they didn’t know unveiled!
Bekee Anyalewechi, Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
4. The book has removed a veil on a period of the life of Right Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, even as it has rather removed a thicker veil on the personality of the writer, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze.
Those who felt Eze was dabbling into Rivers politics would now understand where he is coming from and how he was sourced by those who needed him most. In fact, he could be considered to be on loan to the state. The book has proved that he was very busy, highly sought-after and a very useful resource to whoever has him.
“Above all, Eze has shown the way. He has behaved like Western journalists who usually drop a book after each major assignment, unlike most Nigerian journalists who move on after one tour of duty without leaving a book to capture the over 80 per cent that no journalist can ever write as news report.
This book will shock some, please some, but pepper some.
Read and find where you fall under…”
Prof. Codratus Godson, Port Harcourt.
Mr. Bekee further exclaimed thus, “Chief, what you’ve packaged – in that book – is miles apart to any manifesto or documentation CRA’s presidential Campaign Organisation can achieve. Every member of that team should get copies of the book for it’s done about 85% of their job.”
It is very gladdening to note that over a million people all over the world have already indicated interest to buy copies of the book within few hours of a media hype on the book. In this regard, I wish to plead with all and sundry to excerise a little patience until the book is formally launched and presented to the public before we can start talking about its sales to individuals.
God bless all those who made efforts one way or the other to make this possible particularly the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, my good friend, Hon. Onari Brown who provided the Laptop that helped to secure the project. Others like Prof. Henry Ugboma, Prof. George Owunari, my wife who spared and tolerated me during the period of writing the book even against my heath and my Media Partners whose inputs cannot be downplayed. God bless you all for me.
Signed
Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze,
APC Chieftain & former National Publicity Secretary, nPDP
