To transform Borno State’s 25-year development plan, the quality and capacity of the civil service (CVS) will be enhanced for productivity and efficiency of workers.
They are to formulate and implement programmes that are in accordance with Governor Babagana Zulumโs vision to actualize the 10-year strategic transformation plan.
Unfolding the socioeconomic plans, yesterday (Thursday) in Maiduguri, Chairman of the 11-member advisory committee on governance (ACG), Amb. Usman Sarki said that the civil service is indispensable in achieving the transformation agenda.
According to him, it is the vehicle to the Stateโs transformation agenda of the 25-year development plan.
He however; warned that without commitments, the implementation of programmes will not be fully achieved.
Sarki stated yesterday that this will transform and make Borno, a first class State in Nigeria.
He therefore assured that the committee will provide the necessary advice towards enhancing the capacity of workers to transform the state.

โThis is in accordance with your administration and in accordance with the various experiences and knowledge we have acquired over several decades,โ adding that the experiences are in diverse fields of endeavor.
He noted that the committeeโs task was to make the state โattractive and competitiveโ for business activities, trade and investors.
According to him, with the state’s location and resources; the state will become an agricultural hub in West Africa.
โOur task is to make the state competitive and attractive for businesses, trade and investors,โ he said; assuring that the state by virtue of location and resources become the agricultural hub of West Africa.
