The execution of the N270 billion budget with “transparency and integrity” will revamp the economy to create more job opportunities in Borno State.
This year’s appropriation bill tagged: “Budget of Hope for Post Conflict Stability,” aims to sustain the gains of 2.5 years development efforts of ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs).
He said that the budget’s capital and recurrent expenditures stood at N79.3 billion and N69.13 billion respectively with targeted performance of 75 percent.
In a breakdown of 2022 Budget, yesterday, in Maiduguri, the Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Adamu Lawan disclosed that the bill revolves at the policy thrust of good governance and transparency.
“This budget is also based on the domesticated reviewed chart of accounts of the state government,” he said.
Besides, he added that the execution of the bill, is in line with the State’s 25-year development plan tagged: “Our Borno our Success.”
According to him, budget implementation with courage and dedication could reduce poverty and unemployment to raise people’s living conditions.
He explained that the budget execution, is targeted to rebuild dozens of infrastructural facilities destroyed in over a decade Boko Haram insurgency.
