Chairman of the Osun PDP State Ward Congresses Electoral Committee and Governor of Adamawa State, the Rt.Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri says his Committee will not aid or abet those who seek to undermine democracy.
He was speaking during a meeting with party chieftains preparatory to the start of the process on Wednesday in Osogbo the Osun State capital.
Governor Fintiri commended the unity of purpose of the party faithful who are determined to ensure PDP takes over the State come 2023.
The Governor who met with the six aspirants gunning to fly the party’s flag in the Governorship election next year assured them that his committee will ensure transparency in the process.
He said the days when politicians are foisted on the people are gone, adding that PDP has given the people the opportunity to choose their leaders and urged them to take advantage of the window to change narratives.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said Nigerians are waiting for PDP to rescue the country from the pain inflicted on them by the ruling APC Government and must not allow the thwarting of democracy by selfish leaders.
The Osun Congresses Chairman who successfully conducted the national convention of the party last year, noted that PDP will continue to deepen democracy in Nigeria.
The State ward congresses electoral committee is to conduct elections that will produce 3 Ad-Hoc ward delegates to the special State Congress in all the 332 wards of Osun State.
