ISWAP kills Two Boko Haram Commanders in Borno

The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists have killed two Boko Haram commanders in the Gaizuwa community of Bama local council of Borno state.

Abou Hamza and Abou Ibrahim Boko Haram commanders, were killed after the ISWAP fighters stormed their rivals’ hideout camp by midnight of September 17, 2022.

Confirming the incident, yesterday (Tuesday), in Maiduguri, a Counter-Insurgency Expert in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, disclosed that the commanders were executed in a silent operations of ISWAP terrorists.

He added that their bodies were found in their homes in the early hours of September 18, 2022.

Besides the neutralization of commanders, seventy Boko Haram terrorists were mobilized in two groups from the Mafa, Karkut, Shiwai, lawe Kanuriye, Kirwa and Amtifur axis to wage reprisal attacks against ISWAP.

“But the Boko Haram terrorists, however came under another heavy fire,” he said, killing an unspecified number of them.

He noted that this led the Boko Haram fighters to scamper into different directions with the capture of some them along with their weapons.

He said that with the series of attacks on the Boko Haram faction in the last two months, the fighters are in state of disarray with uncertainty to fight the Nigerian military and the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) in the Lake Chad region.
