The Osun State Governor,His Excellency Ademola Adeleke has promised to Revive Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC).
The Governor disclosed this, during his visit to the station at the state capitol on Thursday.
During his remark, he expressed his commitment to bringing OSBC back to life.
According to the state governor,he noted that; ” This is our Pride. The neglect of this agency by the past government is condemnable and reprehensible.
” The management also shares part of the blame for being part of the rot for so long.
This is a new era. This administration will not tolerate corruption lack of innovation and analogue mentality going forward.
Adeleke also challenged the staff to embrace private sector practices in programming and marketing, according to him it is the path to long term survival of the stations.
“The management must increase its IGR drive. Block all loopholes in the marketing and finance departments; I task you to ensure OSBC is back on the path of financial strength. He said.
Adeleke, however, disclosed that his administration has started upgrading the leadership of the corporation.
” I promise you strong emphasis on staff welfare and manpower development
” I see urgent needs for new broadcasting equipment, action is ongoing on that line.
“For the 66 freelancers waiting to be absorbed, your day of joy is near. This visit is an eye opener; I understand the urgency. Be assured of accelerated actions. He stated.
