As NPF Sets to Hold Maiden Nigeria Police Housing Summit

The Nigeria Police Force, under the visionary leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, is set to convene a maiden landmark summit focused on addressing the critical challenges of police housing in the country.

The summit is scheduled to take place at the prestigious Shehu Musa Yaradua Centre, Abuja, on the 22nd and 23rd of April, 2024.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Force Headquarter’s Public relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi on Tuesday.

The statement reads further:

Recognizing the urgent need to elevate the standard of living for officers and personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, the Inspector-General of Police has taken proactive steps to initiate this summit with the primary objective of exploring avenues for providing accessible and affordable housing solutions for all members of the Force. The summit will serve as a pivotal platform for stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue and brainstorm innovative strategies to actualize the Inspector-General’s vision of delivering effective and efficient housing, thereby enhancing the welfare of the Force’s personnel.

The Inspector-General of Police emphasizes that the summit is geared towards ensuring adequate housing for all officers and men, which is paramount to fostering their well-being and enhancing overall operational effectiveness. He reiterates that the summit represents a pivotal opportunity for the force to collectively chart a course towards sustainable housing solutions to boost dignity and self-esteem
