The Osun state government has disclosed that the government is not implementing any grant scheme and the people of the state should avoid scammers.
In a statement released on Saturday, signed by the spokesperson to the governor Mallam Olawale, and obtained by our correspondent reads:
“It has come to our attention that there are individuals falsely claiming to be members of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s protocol team and promising grants on behalf of the Osun State government. We hereby issue this disclaimer to inform the public that Governor Adeleke and the Osun State government are not involved in any grant distribution programme at this material time.
According to the statement,these impostors are falsely promising individuals a grant of ₦5,000 from the Osun State Government, and they are requesting bank transfers to the following account:

The government, however, strongly advise the public to exercise caution and not fall victim to any fraudulent schemes claiming to be affiliated with the government or Governor Adeleke.
“Please be aware that these account details are not associated with any legitimate grant scheme initiated by the Osun State government. We urge you to refrain from making any payments or sharing your personal information with individuals or entities claiming to provide grants on behalf of Governor Adeleke or the government.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused by these fraudulent activities and request your assistance in spreading awareness about this scam. If you encounter any suspicious individuals or have additional information regarding this matter, please report it immediately to the appropriate authorities.
“The public is also assured that security agencies are on the trail of the criminal gang behind the scheme and perpetrators will soon be nabbed to face the wrath of the law.
